This Means Something

Featuring the devils tower, in wyoming, a resilient monolith, the first national monument of the united states, a structure that has existed through generations of people, inspiring so many native american myths and stories, a climbing destination for the climbing community, an awe-inspiring structure informing artwork, films, and attracting hikers and nature lovers. embedded within the imagery is a fully functional maze, from moon to signature. here is the human aspect of this piece. i draw mazes obsessively, and while doing so i contemplate habits, brain patterns, grooves of programming that determine behavior, basically a safe-space for an on-going existential crisis. the result, a resilient touch-piece, ready to be traveled by finger, and perhaps to inspire a trip to wyoming…
