Alison Ruth

I’m Alison Ruth, an artist based in Lakeview. I primarily create detailed charcoal pieces focused on human-oriented subjects, but recently I've become interested in capturing the natural world. Last year I started a series called “Scapes,” which captures fleeting moments in nature on an intimate scale — individual ripples rather than entire oceans, for example, or singular cloud formations instead of whole horizons. Aside from landscapes and portraiture, I also paint large-scale botanical-themed murals and dabble in photography.
